Mega Evolution Guide - Pokemon Champions
Everything about Mega Evolution in Pokemon Champions: how it works, best Megas, and strategies.
What is Mega Evolution?
Mega Evolution is a powerful battle mechanic in Pokemon Champions. Once per battle, you can Mega Evolve one of your Pokemon to make it much stronger.
A Mega-Evolved Pokemon gains:
- Boosted stats - Higher Attack, Defense, Speed, etc.
- A new Ability - Each Mega has a unique ability.
- Sometimes a new type - Example: Charizard X changes from Fire/Flying to Fire/Dragon.
How to Mega Evolve in Battle
- Your Pokemon must hold a Mega Stone (e.g., Charizardite X).
- During battle, select the Mega Evolve button before choosing a move.
- The Pokemon transforms immediately and then uses its move.
- You can only Mega Evolve once per battle, so choose wisely!

Mega Evolution Strategy Tips
- Save your Mega for the right moment. Don't Mega Evolve on turn 1 if you don't need to.
- Build around your Mega. Your other 3 Pokemon should cover your Mega's weaknesses.
- Type changes matter. Charizard X becomes Dragon-type, which changes its matchups completely.
- Only one Mega per battle. You can't Mega Evolve twice. Pick the best time.
